The Diploma in Unani Pharmacy course is a specialized course newly launched at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. Unlike the Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) course, which is a proper 5 year long undergraduate medical course, the Diploma in Unani Pharmacy is only a two year long self-financed course.

Jamia offers a total of 40 seats for interested students. Unlike BUMS, admissions to the Diploma in Unani Pharmacy course do not take place through NEET but through a separate entrance test conducted by Jamia.

The last date to apply for the course entrance test is tomorrow, March 7, 2018 .

Basic Introduction

Interested candidates should note down the following important points about the Diploma in Unani Pharmacy course offered by Jamia:

• Admissions to the Diploma in Unani Pharmacy are conducted by Jamia Milia Islamia through a separate entrance test.

• The entrance test will comprise a two hour long paper and will be conducted on April 27, 2018, at the University.

• The course fee for the two-year course is Rs. 50,000 per year.

Eligibility :

• All interested applicants must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination and obtained 50% or more in aggregate across Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

• All interested applicants must be proficient in Urdu, atleast upto a secondary standard level.

Entrance Test Pattern

The Entrance Test for the Diploma in Unani Pharmacy Course will comprise 100 questions to be answered in two hours.

• The entrance test will be out of a total of 100 marks.

• There will be 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 20 Subjective Questions, all of one mark each.

• Out of the 80 MCQs, 35 questions will be from Zoology and Botany, 25 from Chemistry and 20 from Physics.

• The 20 subjective questions will be from Urdu and General Knowledge. These questions will be asked in Urdu.

The Diploma in Unani Pharmacy classes will begin from July 17, 2018, onwards.
