Dear,

Please mention your school/Institute name or the board for specific assistance.

Further in general, improvement exam can be given 3-4 months after the results declaration.

So if your results declared on last quarter of the year 2021. It can be possible for you to appear your improvement exam in 2022.

You can visit the official site of your board for any information regarding improvement exam.

And as far as I know you have only one chance of appearing in improvement exam on the given dates by your board.

Otherwise you have to register yourself for re-exam for next year.
