If you are pointing towards improvement exam then there is no pass and fail in an improvement exam. It is conducted by CBSE to help students improve their score and if your score is better than previous score then it will be considered otherwise your old mark sheet will be retained. You can gain admission using your first mark sheet. If there is RT it means repeat theory you may give another improvement exam as a private candidate next year but the choice is entirely yours.
