Hello there. It might not cause problem for you in the counseling as their your father documents will not be checked. It will be just of your but might effect you in the future where you are giving reference of your father and your father documents are checked. To avoid these problem you and either get your father id updated with the correct information or you have to submit a effidavit which says that both eh name spelling belong to the same person.

After getting a affidavit from the government gazette it's not going to be any problem and you can use that at any place since it got verified by the government officers.
