To get into NIT the candidate needs at least 96 percentile.
But you can try for IIITs or centrally funded university.
Although there are some private and state run university which take admission based on JEE main score

You have not provided us with the cateogry. So I am considering you as general candidate. With this percentile your brother may have rank around 175000.This rank won't be able to secure any seat in NIT. But if you belong to any category than your brother may get some choice of seats.
