Since you have filled your general category and merit list will be prepared accordingly and at the time of counselling they will treat you as general and will not accept any kind of certificate for EWS.
It now depends on your rank whether you are qualified for the counselling or not and if not then you will not be able to get in Gen-EWS category and your admission may be cancelled
