congratulations for your 971 rank in jee adv. exam. you can surely get admission in IIITs. Althugh you can get admission in any nits or iits,although you said that you belongs to sc category, then it becomes a great chance for you to get iinto higher nits or iiits.and also 12 marks (above passing criteriea) is not compulsary.
