Sir, my ST rank is 2483 , do i stand a good chance to get into good NIT college?

Your category rank is bit good.
As per the previous year cutoffs you have a good chance of getting medium ranked NITs such as NIT Nagpur, NIT Raipur, NIT Bhopal, NIT Rourkela, but you should not expect higher branches as you will get till chemical or meta.
You can get higher branches in the lower ranked NITs such as NIT Patna, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, NITs from North-east,etc
You can also get some IIITs such as IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Pune, IIIT kancheepuram,etc.
