Kalasalingam University was established in 1984 and is a private deemed to be university located in Srivilliputhur, Tamil Nadu.  It is affiliated by the UGC, AICTE and has grade A NAAC accreditation. The college offers 100+ courses the main one's being btech, bsc and mtech. The infrastructure of this college is excellent with moderate faculty and placement. Not a lot of companies visit the college, IBM being the main one. 75 to 85 % students gets placed in IBM and some small start ups visit the college for interviews. The salary package ranges from 2 to 6 LPA with average of 3 LPA. Wipro, tech Mahindra also visit the college.

Overall it is not a bad college, except for the placement is average.
