There are a number of government law colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Among them, some top colleges are-
- Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University Varanasi. Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in BHU UET.
- Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University Lucknow. Admission is done through CLAT.
- Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Admission is done through AMU Entrance Test.
- Faculty of Law University of Allahabad, Allahabad. Admission is done through their own entrance exam named Allahabad University Law Admisson test.
- University of Lucknow. Admission is done through their own entrance exam.
