Sir to get good marks in paper 2 (b.arch) what types of drawings we should prefect especially
Section 1:Mathematics
Problems are of Jee level as that in paper 1.This is part is most important if you want to gain a good rank as it is the deciding factor.
Section 2:Aptitude
This portion is the most easy part and maximum portion is from this part only. You can easily score 180+/200. Just purchase a good book from market to solve such questions or part year question papers.
Section 3:Drawing
It is only of 70 marks and the questions are also simple compared to NATA. You can easily score 40+ if you're staying is average.
The questions asked in drawing section were:
- Draw an artistic layout with 1pentagon, 3 triangles, 1circle ............and some more geometric shapes. (Use hatching method for colouring. )
- A shape was given and it was asked to draw the same shape 2 times bigger .
- draw the cover page of any arch book with its name, authors name, ......some details.
- Draw a view of house with right proportion, right prespective
- They ask questions like design front side of a kurta or draw a mirror image of a given drawing or an abstract drawing using basic shapes like triangle, square or circle.
- they asked to draw a still drawing using 2 circles and 3 triangles only or something like that.
But this section is not as important as aptitude and maths. Focus more on these sections.
Goodluck I hope this helps you
Hello Dinesh,
For your drawing part, learn to draw dynamic 2D compositions, and most importantly 3D compositions with the effect of light and shadow. You should work out on 1 point and 2 point perspective. You should be able to mirror an image or enlarge it to double its size. Bird’s eye view and worm’s eye view can also come but chances are low. Anyone with average drawing skills can easily get about 40+ in drawing part. 1 week dedicated to drawing would be enough.
Good luck!
