Hello there,
Yes, you can claim your BC-D reservation category for state quota seats even if you filled General category in the NEET application form.
Here’s how it works:
-
The category mentioned in the NEET application is used only for the All India Quota (AIQ) and for the NEET exam purpose.
-
For state quota counseling/admission , your state category certificate (like BC-D) is what matters.
-
So, during the state counseling , you can submit your BC-D caste certificate issued by the state government and claim reservation under that category.
Important:
-
Make sure your BC-D certificate is valid and properly issued by the state government.
-
Keep all documents ready for verification during counseling.
-
Inform the counseling authorities about your actual state category.
In short, your state quota reservation is based on your state-issued category certificate, not the NEET application category.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
