JEE mains is a National level Common Entrance test to get admission in various NIT's and IIIT'S. Where as JEE advanced is an Entrance test for the candidates who cleared Mains exam and want to apply for IIT's. First of all you have to write the Mains exam and then Advanced exam to get seat in IIT'S.
