Difference between e&e branch and e&c branch in engineering

Hii,

EE:- Electrical ENGINEERING.

EEE:- ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING.

To understand the difference and similarities first we have to understand ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING , ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING separately.

Actually the first one I mean EE only deals with electrical stuff like power generation and transmission, mostly it deals with electrical equipments which operate above 12 volts of supply.

ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING:- It is one of the newly developed branch. It basically deals with the equipments operating on voltage less than 12V. It deals with devices made of semiconductors like diodes(BJT,MOSFET,JFET),ICs and many more. It also deals with signal generation ,transmission(attenuation and amplification of signals). All the modern equipments and machines includes electronics.

Now few decades ago there was only one branch which deals with electric power was Electrical engineering, but after the invention of vacuum tubes engineers and scientists found that it can used for transmitting electric signals or pluses, but these devices were not that much efficient, thn semiconductors were used and this idea of using semiconductors revolutionised the field as it opens the door to a new kind of technology which includes diodes,ICS and they are much more efficient,therefore day by day the use of ICs, chips etc increased and become a need of modern day world.

Then some universities around the globe start including the concepts of electronics( diodes, transistors,ICs) and much more within the syllabus of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING thus giving birth to a more advanced,developed and efficient branch of engineering known as EEE(ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING) which deals with both devices equipments and machines operating below 12V and above.

so you can say it is the perfect blend of two or EE was an older version and EEE is the modern day version of the same subject.

That's why both EE and EEE are considered as core branches.
