All of the options are great, but ultimately your choice should depend on what interests you, your potential long-term career goals, and what environment you feel comfortable working and thriving in.
- If you are more inclined towards Electronics or Electrical engineering, then I would suggest that IIT Delhi (Electrical or ECE at IIT Dhanbad) is your best option, specifically due to placement metrics, research output and startup culture.
- If you are open to Chemical Engineering, both IIT Delhi and IIT Madras are top institutes, with excellent faculty and infrastructure with a very strong Chemical department at IIT Madras.
- IIT Delhi has an edge in terms of geographic location and exposure to industry.
- IIT Madras has a strong academic ecosystem and encourages a very much collaborative culture.
If you are unsure as to what department/branch to pick prioritize institute and potential for flexibility. IIT Delhi has offered stronger chances for branch change and better opportunities overall.
