To join in Indian Navy through Matric Recruit in Chef MR, steward MR and Sanitary Hygienist MR the minimum age is 17 years and upper age limit is 20 years.There will be a written examination and the shorlisted candidates will undergo physical and medical test.Merit list is prepared and candidates who are in merit list will undergo 14 weeks basic and professional training in INS, Chilka in the alloted trade.Branch or trade is alloted as per service requirement after thr training.You have opportunity to undergo various professional courses as per service requirement and equivalent certificate of qualififcation are awarded by various universities.You will get Graduate equivalent certificate on retirement after 15 years of service.But as of now you are not eligible because you don't fulfill the minimum age requirement.But this information will he helpful to you.You can check the exam syllabus and sample parpers so that you can prepare well.
