When you pursue a B.tech then you will have to aim for more percentile in CAT generally 99+ to get into a reputed institute to pursue your MBA from. But if you pursue a Business,Management or commerce degree then you can get calls from top business schools at 95+ percentile making it easier to get into B-schools for you. The salaries part depends upon you and your experience. People with prior work ex in the corporate world get higher packages than freshers.
