As now you are in second year it is good time to start preparation of cat exam.

You can start preparation by joining coaching classes or either self preparation.

First of all be clear about the syllabus of cat exam and start doing preparation one by one of each topic.learn all the formulas of each topic and then start solving lot of question and then move to other section.practice more and more moreover read newspaper daily like the hindu,the indian express etc.Improve your english learn 5-10 new words daily.And also maintain good cgpa in every semester,dont let your academics suffer.
