Hello,
CAT (Common Admission Test) is managed by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on rotation basis. It is a national level admission test organized for providing admission into postgraduate business administration programmes. Through this exam, students will get admission into top management colleges of the country.

CAT is the national level exam and is considered a tough exam.
IIMs, the conducting body of CAT, do not release the syllabus for CAT exam.
CAT syllabus is divided into 3 sections -
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension,
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
Also you can check the paper pattern and marking scheme here .
Think and Practice is the main stretch to get well in LR and DI.
Above all this you should go through previous years questions and get an idea of pattern and level of questions been asked in previous CAT papers.
Different types of DI Sets:
Tables & its variants
Bar Chart
Line Graphs
Pie Charts
Venn Diagram
Miscellaneous data types Spider, Triangle, Scatter Diagram
Different types of LR Sets:
Arrangements (Linear and Circular)
Tournament & Games
Sequencing & Ranking
Selection
Networks & Routes
Cubes & Venn Diagrams
Puzzles
Do not be afraid of solving complicated DI and LR sets. You need to continuously challenge yourself and solve as many advanced level problems as possible.
Practice sectional mocks and analyse them to understand the concepts clearly.
All the best!

dear priyanka..i am not mathematics background.. studied b.com...i am facing several problems in qa..and all the topics..can u suggest any plan for me...
Do lots of practice. Intuition is important, but the ability to power through lots of questions is extremely important.
Once you have learnt from first principles and done the revision, you would have learnt all standard templates. Now the knowledge base is set, it is time build the ability to 'discover' newer frameworks. Ask more fundamental questions and work with proofs and properties.
Give sectional mocks and based on your results analyse your strengths and weakness. Analyse the speed and accuracy as well.
Top 3 quants topics are:
Algebra
Arithmetic
Geometry from which maximum topics come.
Good luck.
