Hello,
Yes6th subject can be used as a medium if you are failed in any one of the 5 subjects then your marks in 6th subject is exchanged with the subject in which you failed and that's the rule of cbse.
Also among 5th and 6th subject,the subject in which you scored more will be considered for calculating percentage of class 12th board exams.
