Till now the official category of various categories has not been released till now so it might get to tell the exact information about the intake of students across various NITs but not an issue the cuttoff will going to release at the end of the April month by the NTA authorities through which you can get the estimation about that and regarding the NIT you can also use the predictors via which you can get the overall idea of the college's based upon your respective inputs.
