Don't depend on rumors. In fact, recruiters don't ask about that. Don't get feared about that and also if they will ask you will give the best explanation like I'm interested in jee it's my dad's passion and alsobmine too. Like that any worthy explanation can put you out from that situation. So don't depend on rumors. It's all depends on your talent.

Please do not believe in these rumours . It totally depends on ones own talent. I know many seniors of mine who were droppers and got awsome packages.
So always believe in yourself.

And if we people (iitians) think about job what will happen for those underrated colleges?
Drop year don't create any issue for placement because that time your graduation degree , knowledge ,skills , expertise and specially your communication skills also impact on that time.

Dropped students get placed very easily and as same as undropped or regular students.
Most of students in colleges are droppers and freshers are very less..
So if you want to drop for a year to prepare again then drop without any tension , you have to do one thing is to prepare hard and made into India's best colleges
