ncert book is good but don't depends on only one book, for practice you can use reference book like op tandon. solving problems is make you half of sucess. so don't ignore small thing. execption case should be focus
NCERT book is helpful to clear your concepts. So, that you can build your base strong.
You should start your preparation from NCERT books and if you are preparing for JEE Main it is sufficient but if you are preparing for JEE Advanced then you have to refer other books as well.
After, completing NCERT book if you want you can move to other books like JD Lee or OP Tandon.
You should solve previous year papers as well to understand the type and level of questions. Practice is very important to score good marks. Make sure you solve lot of MCQs.
