Please do mention about which university you are asking and also mention your category.

If you are asking about Delhi University. The admissions in BA Eng(Hons) is based on Merit. The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects.

If you are looking for North campus colleges , then you have to minimum 88-90%.
