TENA elegibility for engineering

Hi aspirant,

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has released the eligibility criteria for TNEA 2021 along with the official notification. To be eligible for admissions in engineering program, you need to apply for TNEA counselling fulfilling some criterias related to nativity, education qualifications and others.

TNEA 2021 Eligibility - Nativity

Candidates who have passed any of class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 or other equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu

Such candidates have to submit a Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form or digitally signed e-certificate)

Children or wards of Central Government Employees serving continuously in Tamil Nadu for the past 5 years

Certificate from the employer of such parent or guardian (if both parents have passed away) regarding such employment in Tamil Nadu.

Children of people employed in Public sector or Government recognized institutes continuously for past 5 years

Certificate from the employer stating such person (Applicant’s parent) is a permanent employee along with any one of Income Tax return, PF Slips, etc. and 5 year or more work tenure.

Children of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers

Proof of employment

Srilankan Tamil Refugee studied in Tamil Nadu

Identification certificate from the Head Quarters Tahsildar or otherwise a cop of passport, visa and letter registered with the police station
