In JEE 2021 4 attempts were conducted in february , march , july and august respectively due to the severe condition of covid 19 in the country.
with the omicron scare you can expect JEE 2022 to have 4 attempts to attempt paper 1 i.e. for Btech.
though there have been no official information you can expect the update from NTA in sometime.
