The Quantitative aptitude section is quiet hard .. what would you advise me to focus on which important thing??

Focus on where you're going wrong and where you end up with negative scores, this area should be strengthened and then more revision and brushing up of skills is required. You can solve various examples from Arjn Sharmas book for quantitative aptitude and also Chandresh agarwal to get complete overview. You shoukd also refer to past 5 years papers for CAT and how the quant questions are stacked up to get an idea as to where your focus should be pivoted and where your skills should be navigated. See you don't need to think it as hard. First start preparing with the topics with which you find yourself comfortable. First go through the theory properly, clear all your doubts an then you can start attempting questions through good books like Arun Sharma which has good level of questions and explanations.

As you start feeling confident with quantitative part then start giving lots of online mock test which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and analyse them which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile.

Also through the mock tests you will be able to figure out your strength and weakness which will help you in knowing which questions are easy for you and needs to be attempted first so as to secure your marks and decrease the probability of silly mistake or missing any easy question then you can attempt your middle level question. This will help you to increase your speed and accuracy which will in the end leads to increase in your marks.

So don't worry make your basics strong and attempt lots of online mock test.

I would advise you to cover the whole syllabus. I'm telling you this because one question can be solved in many ways. Just take an example of a question from function chapter. You can solve that through normal traditional way or you can apply graphical way to solve the same problem. So, my suggestion is to go through all the topics and have an overall idea of type of questions.
Since you are struggling with quant, them it's better you focus on chapters like geometry, arithmetic and number system. These three parts will cover almost 70 percentage of your quant portion. So, start working on these three subsections.

Hi Siddharth. The most important thing for that is practice. Practice as much as you can. Subscribe to online sites like testfunda and oliveboard and then give as many mock tests as you can. It will help you manage your time and also know your weaknesses.

Oliveboard will help you give customized tests as well. So you can practice your weak areas as well. Practice is the key.

You always have your strengths in a particular section, it might be limited to sone topics but you still have some. First of all concentrate on that.

For other chapters revise the basic concepts, remember the formulae and shortcuts and practice simple questions depending on the time you devote. This will let you answer simple questions in the actual CAT.
