The simple method of read to write a exam
A simple way to prepare for an exam is to follow the Read → Understand → Recall → Write → Revise method.
First, read the topic carefully and understand the basic concepts instead of simply memorising the text. After completing a small portion, close the book and try to recall the important points without looking.
Next, practise writing answers on your own. This is especially important for descriptive examinations because knowing the answer and being able to present it properly in the examination are different things.
A useful routine is:
Read a topic → Understand it → Close the book → Recall it → Write the answer → Check mistakes → Revise.
For numerical subjects, spend more time solving problems rather than repeatedly reading solved examples. Regular practice and revision will improve both speed and accuracy.
