Third attempt of mains affects college placement?if yes should i drop this year or not

No, it will not affect your college placement. The placement is done on the basis of your knowledge in that particular field. Your CGP in B.Tech, how you present yourself and how good you are at taking the questions and answering them with confidence. Companies are not bothered about in how many attempts you have cleared the examination.

Talking about taking the drop, I would suggest not to drop a year. If you have already appeared for two attempts, accept the score and move further. There is no pointing in dropping one more year. Rest, if you feel that you can score really well in your last attempt then it's your call.
