For pursuing Biotechnology Engineering it is not necessary to take Biology as a subject in 12th standard. Plenty Institutes offers Biotechnology Engineering and have Biology as a subject in +2 is not mandatory. You'll have to give entrance exam for seeking admission in colleges though.

You mean separate entrance for biology or is JEE sufficient. What about college's like IIT or NIT, do they ask for biology entrance.
