Correct Answer: 360
Solution :
Let the time taken by car A be $x$ hour.
So the time taken by car B is $(x–1)$ hour.
According to the question,
$72x = 90(x – 1)$
⇒ $90x–72x = 90$
⇒ $18x = 90$
⇒ $x = \frac{90}{18}=5$ hours
So, the distance between the two cities is (72 × 5) = 360 km.
Hence, the correct answer is 360.
