If two numbers have 63 as their sum then the can't be in the ratio of 3 : 1 .
For example ,if we assume that the numbers are in the ratio 3 : 1.
Then the two numbers will be 3x and 1x.
Now , Sum of these two numbers as per question = 63
Then,
3x + 1x = 63
Or, 4x = 63
Or,x = 63/4
x = 15.75, but it is not a whole number.
So the numbers can't be in the ratio of 3 : 1 .
