unable to upload photo signature. Get message of " error in upload file Please check your file format and size"

Hey there, don't worry, I faced the exact same issue during my application. These exam portals are incredibly strict and usually throw this error because of a couple of basic technicalities.

First, double-check your actual file format. Most smartphones nowadays save pictures in PNG or HEIC formats, but these portals strictly only accept JPG or JPEG files. Secondly, if your file size is even 1 KB above their limit or if your pixel width and height don't perfectly match what they asked for in the official notification, the server will instantly reject it.

Fixing this manually on a phone gallery or basic paint app is a huge headache and usually ruins the image clarity. When I was stuck with this error, I just used a free site called Signature Resize to fix mine. You just upload your raw mobile photo there, and the tool automatically sets the exact pixel dimensions, converts it to a proper JPG, and forces the file size into that strict KB limit without making it blurry.

Just process your image through that tool, download the fresh file, and try uploading it again It should be accepted immediately Hope this helps!

I think you should read the guidelines regarding the format in which they’ll accept your signature.

Sometimes they ask in pdf or in jpeg or in png.

According to which you need to convert your file in that format through any file converter application you download in your phone .

And then you need to reduce the size of image (to some kbs) by croping it in the pics art.

I did this way only , and it helped me.

Just try and do it again, if it doesn’t help then you can ask us.

Thankyou.
