UPSC recruitment PROCEDURE for CBI ?
Hello aspirant,
You can become a CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation ) after clearing UPSC CSE(Civil services exam ) with good enough rank that can become an IPS(Indian Police services) officer and after some time(atleast 5 years) you can be deputed as a CBI officers, but only if vacancies are available and they(panel members) think that you are good enough for that post.
Hope this helps.
Dear Neha ,
Great that you have put up a question for the world. I feel happy to answer this.
It's amazing to see that you are interested in Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI).
Now coming to your question, CBI functions under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
So the recruitments are carried on by MHA. For some of the positions, there are recruitment tests held, however they are not frequent.
The next option to join CBI is through UPSC too yet it'll take time. Having said that, you'll need to qualify UPSC Civil Services Examination, opt for IPS and after a few years say 10-15 years can ask for a transfer in the CBI.
I hope your doubts are clear. If not, please counter question me and I'll be happy to answer it too.
Else I invite you to ask another question and let the world answer it.
Thank you!
