Yes,This is be real. But never judge a college with average placement percentage or package. Even of college has 99 percentage placement, if you don't have skill you may not get placed. In in terms of average placement if one get high package then he may balance or bring up the percentage.

And for judging college check out what are the good companies visiting that college regularly. And one thing to know that if package is 6 lakh it doesn't mean you will get 50k in hand. It may br be around 30-35k only.

Yes mostly those statistics are real and achieved by a lot of hardwork by the college and students. As many students get placed into average company ,therefore 90% students are placed most of the time.Sometimes average packages can vary to 3-4 lakh but yes they do get placed.
