Want admission in AMIE for chemical degree engineering

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification : You should have completed a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

  Admission Process

1. Registration : Visit the official website of the Institution of Engineers (India) at https://www.ieindia.org/ and register as a member.
   
   

2. Application Form : Fill out the AMIE application form, providing all necessary details and uploading required documents.
   
   

3. Application Fee : Pay the application fee of Rs. 3,000 for Indian candidates or Rs. 16,875 for candidates applying from abroad.
   
   

4. Examination : AMIE exams are conducted twice a year—in Summer (March) and Winter (September) sessions.
   
   

5. Section A Examination : This is the first part of the AMIE exam, which you must pass to proceed to Section B.
   
   

6. Section B Examination : After clearing Section A, you can register for Section B in Chemical Engineering. This section includes 9 papers—6 compulsory and 3 optional.
   
   

7. Project Work and Laboratory Experiments : Upon passing at least 5 subjects in Section B, you can undertake project work and laboratory experiments in your chosen discipline.
   
   Duration

• Section A : Must be completed within 6 years from the date of membership.

• Section B : Must be completed within 6 years after passing Section A.
  
  Recognition

The AMIE degree is recognized by all state and central governments in India, including AICTE and UPSC. It is equivalent to a B.Tech degree and is valid for higher studies and government job applications.
