Hello,
EWS is for Economically Weaker Society and a candidate is eligible for this category if the family income is less than 8 lakhs per year. It is applicable only for general category candidates. In this case the candidate has to make an EWS certificate and carry it during counselling to be eligible. EWS is only applicable for 15% All India quota seats and state wise 85% quota seats depends on the respective state rules.
