Anything apart from academics is considered as extra curricular. It can be in the field of education, sport , or anything of your interest. If you have state level or national level certification in any field then it will be considered as an edge over others. The whole of interview can be around your extra curricular. Just make sure, if you have written something then you must be having deepp knowledge of the same.

Yes, dex courses are considered but in some colleges they are considered as certifications. Some colleges considered certificarions and extra-curricular activities seperately. But yes, this will also be a good point to be considered specially if it is related to your academics.

Consider this Criteria any course that can generate a certificate for you in any specific field is considered as a part of extracurriculars. Also you can solve some case studies or get some non-technical certificates from student competitions that happen all over India.

Research papers or participation certificates at national and state level also add strong points to your Profile for consideration.

Any other activity that has some social value like working with NGOs or some project with Govt bodies that helped them in certain way is also considered as extra curricular activity.

Even certifications for Excel or other softwares used counts.

If you have good knowledge or workex in certain field than you can be a coach in certain platforms as well this too can count as an Ex-activity and will help you in interviews too.
