Looking at your rank and your category which is oviously general, I would suggest you to opt for the top private engineering colleges like BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, SRM University, etc by giving their respective entrance tests. I am suggesting these colleges because they have an excellent placement record in almost all the streams(including ECE).

Some of good colleges are NITs and newly setup IIITs. These IIITs have advanced course designed for CSE and ECE. But for your rank you have very low chances for getting ECE in any central government colleges. So you may look for private colleges.
