Dear Aspirant,
You have to consider the following 5 subjects for calculating percentage for JEE main and advanced. You have to score above 75% to be in top 20percentile in CBSE board.
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- English
- Physical education/computer science/information technology/biology/information practice, etc.

Hello aspirant I am here for helping you.
During the calculation of percentage of your class 12th you select top 5 subjects (in terms of marks scored, no option for english) out of 6, but if talking about calculation of 12th percentage for JEE mains then you will have to count English marks , physics marks , chemistry marks and mathematics marks compulsorily apart from this , additional subject ( physical edu/ Computer etc. ) can be replaced by optional subject (music/painting, etc.) if you scored less in additional subject.
