Ankle pain is one of the most common pains that can happen as a result of an injury, sprain or medical conditions like arthritis. The most common reason for this is a stretch in the ligaments or ligament rupture. Here are some remedies which could help you in making your condition better.
- Firstly, rest in such cases can be healing. Try to rest as much as possible as exerting your feet with activities like dancing, gymming, running or other such activities. This could increase the pain. Do not put weight on your ankle and move only when necessary. If it is severe, make sure that you use support and walk.
- Put your feet in an ice bath or put a bag of ice of your ankle for about 15 to 20 minutes between breaks in the middle. You can do it 3-5 times in a day if there is swelling or numbing pain.
- Compress it with a crepe or elastic bandage.
- Keep your legs raised above the heart level for better blood flow and speedy recovery.
- Flex and point your toes and do basic exercises to help with regular movement like rotating your ankle and stop doing so if it starts hurting.
The same remedies work for hand injuries as well. Massage, heat and medications can help too. Do not overdo anything and make sure the hand is well rested.
