What are the job offers after IIT?

As per your query .you want to know about the job offer by iit after completing a btech.it depend on your branch .many reputated compnies come for placement in iit.the give average package 12-15 lakh..some time psu like iocl,ongc,are visti iit for  placement

If we classify the jobs there are mainly five category

1. Core IT companies : Avg package is around 25 lakhs. This include top paying companies like Google, Facebook, oracles, Amazon etc. Then there are companies like codenation which give your around 30 lakhs. Then we have some companies which pay in b/w 10–20 lakhs. Package like 1–2 crore look fancy but only few guys can make that.
2. Core Companies for Mech, Civil, EE etc: Avg. package is around 10 lakhs. Some Japanese companies like Honda pay handsome amount but still in will be in range of 15–20 lakhs in Indian rupee.Company like Schlumberger also give good package for sports guys.
3. PSU: Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electronic and Electrical have lots of PSU. Avg. package of these PSU comes in range of 9 lakhs. They provide govt. class A officer jobs and your life will be set if you get one. But, there is one catch here, Govt. of India is planning to recruit all PSU jobs through GAtE only. Campus drive gonna end anytime.
4. Consultancy/Analytics : Companies like BCG comes in this category. Most of the core guys (excluding IT) prepare for this companies. They offer better package then core companies. Avg. package of these companies is around 15 lakhs.
5. Banking sector: Lots of international bank like Goldman Sachs, Bank of scotland etc. also comes for recruitment. They also offer very handsome package b/w 20 lakhs to 60 lakhs.

Apart from these option you can go for your own startups, prepare for civil service etc.
