What are the qualifications requirement for CDS EXAMINATION.

To appear for CDS, you have to be 20 to 24 years of age and unmarried.

You must have cleared Undergraduation, or studying in the final year.

You have to be a citizen of India. However, students from Nepal, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka Bhutan and Tibetan refugee and East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia and Ethiopia or Vietnam can also apply.

There are other requirements such as regarding height:

• Height (male): Army - 157.5 cm, Navy - 157 cm, Air Force - 162.5 cm
• Height (Female): 152 cm
• For NE India - Relaxation of 5 cms

• Candidates applying for CDS must be a citizen of India

• Indian Military Academy (IMA) - 20 to 24 years - Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

• Indian Naval Academy (NA) - 20 to 24 years - Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution

• Air Force Academy (AFA) - 20 to 24 years - Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering

• Officers Training Academy (OTA – Men) - 20 to 24 years - Degree of a recognized University or equivalent (Unmarried and Married)

• Officers Training Academy (OTA - Women, Non-Technical) - 20 to 24 years - Degree of a recognized University or equivalent (Unmarried and Widow)
