I have mentioned below steps you may follow to establish a career as a surgeon .
Step 1: Completion of 10+2
Description: Students are required to complete 10+2 in physics, chemistry and biology with an aggregate of 50 per cent of marks from a recognised board.
Step 2: Qualify Entrance
Description: Several colleges and universities conduct entrance examinations to provide admissions. Students are required to prepare and appear in the entrance examinations in order to get the admissions.

NEET: National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test
AIIMS UG: All India Institute of Medical Studies Entrance Examination Under Graduate
JIPMER : Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research
KEAM: Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Examination
Step 3: Bachelor
Description: Candidates are required to enrol in MB.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programme after successful completion of 10+2. I have mentioned below popular bachelor's degree programmes.
Step 4: Post bachelor
Description: Candidates have several options post bachelor to lead their career path. I have mentioned below major popular specialisations.
Option 1: After successful completion of bachelor's degree programme, candidates can start working at an entry level role. After acquiring a working experience of one-two years, they can further continue their studies and opt for a master's degree programme in the related specialisation.
Option: After successful completion of bachelor's degree programme, candidates can opt for a master's degree programme without any gap in the academic year. After successful completion of master's degree programme, candidates can start working in the industry at an entry level role.

Minimum aggregate marks required in PCB subjects- 50%.
Minimum marks scored in Biology subject- 50%.
*Note: Minimum marks criteria may vary (usually around 50% marks).
Candidate must also have taken part in medical entrance examination organized by State or Central Government. Some of the well known entrance tests are- NEET UG, AIIMS Entrance, JIPMER.
