It is not necessary that if you in nit or IIT colleges only then you can go for IAS or IPS .
You can go into this only through any graduation .
Minimum qualifications for applying is graduation in any field. So you can do bsc; ba and other course or you can go with any state government or private college for graduation.
Good luck
There is no relation between IIT and nit with upsc.
If you simply graduate then you also able to crack upsc and be an ias and ips officer .
If you nit getting IIT and nit college , then go for the other colleges you can choose BSC ,BCom ,BA course for graduation. Then after you will able to crack .
Thanks
Hello Rohith, Well, if you have been unable to get any of the IITs or NITs, and you still want to go for IAS and IPS, then the best option is to enroll in a simple graduation program and then start preparing for UPSC exams because then you will get a lot of time for preparation. You can go for online courses or go to big cities like Delhi or Dehradun for IAS preparation.
