Hello Kunal,
JEE Main and JEE Advanced are probably the two most difficult and important engineering entrance tests in the country. So, it is not advisable to be selective in your preparation, especially for JEE Advanced. If you take a closer look at JEE Advanced, every year there are questions from a new topic and the weightage given to topics keeps changing. Add to that in the coming session, the exam will be conducted in online mode. To be on the safer side, I would suggest you not to neglect any topic, unless you are finding it too hard or eating up your preparation time.
In case of JEE Main as well, it is not a good idea to be selective, but if you would like to know about the weightage, go through this article: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-preparation-tips
Regards.
