As per the eligibility criteria you don't require any percentage to appear for JEE main exam however to get admission into IIT NIT and other premier institutes you need to be in the top 20 percentile state board or have at least 75% in class 12th if you belong to general OBC category or 65 percentage if you belong to SC ST category

You are required to score about 75% in your board exams regardless of your examination board for general category .
However you get a 10% relaxation if you're from Sc/ST category, so it means your cutoff then would be 65%.

Shyam there is not any type of percentage eligibility for the JEE mains entrance exam , eligibility is only set up for the respective Institution whether it is Government or Private like for the Government it is around 75% for IIT / NIT / CFTI / IIIT colleges but for the other private colleges like it is around 60% + marks in the PCM Domain as well in the class 12th which will vary depending upon the respective category.
