Yes , i understand your query regarding the gate exam as i had just given gate exam in 2019 and i was from electrical engineering.

As i had used the ARIHANT publication book for my gate exam and it was best one as all question and answer are mentioned subjectwise. THIS PUBLICATION BOOK IS THERE DIFFERENTLY FOR DIFFERENT ENGINEERING PAPERS.

Also i would like to recommended the app that i used for gate exam test and quiz chapterwise which was GRADE UP app.
Also solve the previous year question paper as it was there in this app provided .

As you have not mentioned the branch, I am not able to specifically name the books. But here is what you can do. You should buy a previous year GATE question book. Atleast solve 30 years previously asked GATE questions. Arihant have a book with 30 years previously asked questions book. You could buy it.

Other than that you can also buy coaching material of many coachings, I suggest MadeEasy as they have very good quality study material. It is advisable to buy this coaching material rather than buying books seperately as they have compiled the total syllabus with emphasis on the part which is of most importance.
