Hey
It occurs due to crossing over,independent movement of chromosomes and random fertilisation.
The recombinant generally does not change the allelic frequency however asymmetric crossing over produces a new type of allele.
Sometimes due to recombination harmful recessive allele come together making The member infertile,this will change the allelic frequency.
