JEE mains has 2 paper...Paper 1 is for admission in B.E and B.Tech and paper 2 is for B.Arch.
Both the papers have different exam pattern and syllabus.

For JEE paper 1 :

Subjects in paper 1 includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and number of questions include 75 (25 questions from eachsubject).
Type of questions - 60 (MCQs having 4 options each with 1 correct option) + 15 (Questions for which answer is a Numerical Value

JEE mains paper 2 pattern :

Number of sections and subjects - 3 (Drawing, Mathematics and Aptitude)
Duration of exam 3 hours (180 minutes) with 60 minutes per section.
Number of questions - 77 questions (Mathematics: 25 questions, Aptitude: 50 and Drawing: 2)

To appear for JEE mains for admission into BE ot B.Tech and B.Arch course for engineering and architecture.
You need to appear for JEE Mains paper 1 for B.tech admissions for engineering in various Institutes across India. The paper 1 will comprise of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics.
For architecture and planning course, you need to appear for jee mains paper 2. The architecture exam ofJEE Mains will comprise of three sections namely - Mathematics, General Aptitude, Drawing Skills, whereas the B.Planning paper will comprise of Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning.
